Mini Soccer Team Growth Fund 2019 - Now Open
Oxfordshire FA’s Mini Soccer Team Growth Fund is now open which aims to support clubs who have plans to enter new teams into winter/spring leagues after Christmas.
Clubs can apply for up to £200 per team via our new Mini Soccer Team Growth Fund which is designed to increase participation and support the costs associated with starting a new team.
The funding is specifically aimed at supporting clubs that are looking to enter teams into leagues after Christmas (winter/spring).
All Oxfordshire FA affiliated Charter Standard Clubs are eligible to apply for funding to help create new teams. We do accept applications from non-Charter Standard Clubs, however they must commit to becoming Charter Standard by 30 June 2020.
Please note that teams must be affiliated via the Whole Game System by 1 December 2019.
Funding can only be used for player recruitment and long-term sustainability. The funding can go towards coaching courses and workshops, essential training equipment, facility hire, player accident insurance, affiliation costs, marketing and promotion etc. A breakdown of expenditure must be listed on the application form and Oxfordshire FA can provide limits on the amount of funding provided for certain items.
If your application is successful, your funding will be awarded once you meet the criteria below:
- Confirmation of entry to winter/spring league
- Team(s) affiliated via Whole Game System by 1st December 2019
- Non-Charter Standard Clubs to confirm they will commit to working with OFA to achieve their status by June 30, 2020
- Commit to fulfilling all fixtures in 2019/20 and continuing into 2020/21 season
The application window is open and the deadline to apply is Friday 25 October 2019.
All applications will be considered, and clubs will be informed week commencing 4 November with a decision. If successful, funding will be issued once team(s) have been affiliated and all other criteria has been achieved.
