FAQs

Oxfordshire FA, in partnership with Berks and Bucks FA, run an annual England Talent Day. Players who believe they are eligible to enter the Disability Talent Pathway should attend this event.

FA England Talent Days are the recognised first selective environment in the Disability Talent Pathway. The England Talent Day will identify and signpost players to the ‘right’ environment at that point in time.

England Talent Days are aimed at players with a disability between the ages of 7 to 16 years old. All players need to have one of the following impairments to be eligible; Deaf, Blind, Cerebral Palsy, Amputee or Partially Sighted.

There is a formal eligibility criteria for each specific impairment group which you can find in the additional documents.

The next England Talent Day will be held on Sunday 9th June, 2019 at Whitelands Farm, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 1AJ. Players can arrive from 11am with a schedule end time of 1pm.

These sessions will be led by fully qualified coaches but will be much like your regular training sessions.

A member of the England Talent Team will also be in attendance to identify players to access the Disability Talent Pathway. Players are asked to simply enjoy the event and play their natural game.

Players can just turn up on the day but it is highly recommended registering for this event. By doing this you will receive all the pre-event vital information and by made aware of any changes related to this event.

Each County FA will be hosting an England Talent Day throughout the year so we will help you access another Talent Day in a neighbouring county. OFA will host an annual England Talent Day around the same time each year.

It is possible to access the Disability Talent Pathway post-16 but your details will be referred to the England Talent Team for them to follow up directly.

Every player will be signposted to the ‘right’ environment for them at that point in time.

For some players they will be invited to progress up to the next step in the Disability Talent Pathway; however some players maybe referred to more local opportunities to continue their development with the view to access a future England Talent Day.

If you require any further information on this programme please contact Disability Football Development Officer Harry Ash by email: Development@OxfordshireFA.com or call 01993 894405.
