Guest Speaker confirmed for OFA Coaches Conference

Les Howie,
The FA’s Head of Grassroots Coaching

Les looks after the development and support of grassroots coaches for The FA including the development of coaching courses, and has overall responsibility for regional coaches, the PE unit and FA Coach Mentor Programme.
 
He will be giving a short keynote on grassroots coaching, and courses, and will take some questions from coaches that they may have about them.

Les will be joined on the day by guest tutors, Kelvin Alexis & Chris Hackett (Under 15s Coaches from Oxford United) and Huw Jennings, Academy Director at Fulham FC.

Cost: £25 per person
CPD: 4 hours



The theme of this year’s conference, which offers coaches of all abilities the opportunity to learn more and develop their skills from high level coaches, is Developing Creative Players.

The event will showcase the techniques and methods coaches can use to create players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet and have the ability to make decisions quickly.
