Ramadan Celebration of Football Event

Celebration of Football Event at Banbury Madni Masjid

During Ramadan, everyone is invited to join Oxfordshire FA for our Celebration of Football Event on 22 March 2024.

From 10 March through to 9 April, the Holy Month of Ramadan will see Muslims across the world observe a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.

To celebrate Ramadan and to connect with Oxfordshire’s Muslim community, Oxfordshire FA is delighted to confirm details of our Ramadan Celebration of Football Event, which is to be hosted at Banbury Madni Masjid (OX16 4RX) on Friday 22 March 2024.

Allowing us to connect with our local Muslim community, our Celebration of Football Event is open to everybody, from all backgrounds, aged 14 and above interested in getting into any area of football in Oxfordshire, whether it’s playing, coaching, refereeing or volunteering.

Commencing at 6.00pm, join us as we break Iftar together and discover the opportunities available within the game across the county.

The event will be hosted by Abdoullah Kheir, The FA’s Coach Development Officer focusing on diversity and inclusion; Waheed Ramzan, a local UEFA B coach and FA Coach Educator, Andy Hunt, Local Referee, and Youth Referee Representative for Oxfordshire RA; and Oxfordshire FA’s Football Development Manager, Michael Thurlow.

All of our hosts possess knowledge and experience to provide everyone interested in becoming involved in football with clear insight and direction.
