Female Coach CPD Workshops to Get Underway

October and November will see our first CPD workshops for female coaches this season take place in Oxfordshire.

Our female coach education programme gets underway in October and November 2023, with coaches now able to book onto our forthcoming workshops.

In October, our workshop – hosted in Witney – will look at Environment Creation and Management. The session will focus on how to create, maintain and develop a positive, safe and inspiring environment for players and staff to learn, develop and thrive through on and off-the-pitch experiences.

Date: Monday 23 October
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Venue: Witney ATP, Gordon Way, Witney (OX28 4EH)

In November, the session will focus on Practice Design and Management, specifically looking at the concepts of ‘what are we aiming to help our players with?’ and ‘how will the practice enable this?’.

Date: Tuesday 28 November
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Venue: Launton Sports Club, Bicester Road, Launton, Bicester, OX26 5DP

James Shiplee, Senior Football Development Officer at Oxfordshire FA, said: “We’re delighted to be back with female-specific CPD workshops this season, following a great series last year. We engaged over 30 female coaches throughout 2022/23, which is above anything we’ve done before. We’re excited to be able to carry that success into further developmental opportunities this season.”
