Applications open to join Youth Leadership Team

We're welcoming applications from young leaders, volunteers and players to join our Youth Leadership Team for the 2023-24 season.

The Youth Leadership Team (YLT) offers young people the chance to have their say on how football is run in the county and to deliver projects to improve the experience of volunteers and players.

The team is currently looking for new members between the ages of 14 and 24 and would welcome applications from across the football community in these ages. You don’t need to have a history of playing or volunteering, but must possess a desire to improve football for the next generations.

Over the past few years the YLT have delivered a number of products including the Volunteer Appreciation programme, a Wildcats festival ahead of the Women’s Euros, and a young referee training event. In addition to this work, the team have support the OFA with gaining consultation from young people to further shape how we can improve the game.

Meetings are held face to face, with dates and venues to be confirmed later, but these will primarily be on a Monday evening, once a month.

There will be informal interviews for those that have been shortlisted. Anyone aged U18 must be joined by a parent or guardian.
