Engaging Diverse Ethnic Communities Coaching Workshop

Engaging Diverse Ethnic Communities Coaches Workshop - January 2024

Join us for our third workshop for new and existing coaches within our county’s culturally diverse communities.

Join us on Wednesday 31 January 2024, as we team up with The FA’s Coach Development Team to host the next stage of the Oxfordshire FA ‘Engaging Diverse Ethnic Communities’ project.

Following the success of our first two introductory workshops, hosted in September and October this year, our FREE forthcoming workshop aims to build on the learning obtained in 2023’s workshops, while moving forward to cover player engagement, and coach communication with players.

Our next workshop will be taking place at Banbury United’s Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium (OX16 5AB) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday 31 January 2024.

We’re looking forward to welcoming back those that joined us earlier this year, and would love to see more people getting involved. Whether you’re currently coaching, or interested in getting into coaching, if you’re aged 16 or over, we encourage you to sign up.

‘Engaging Diverse Ethnic Communities’ forms part of our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Oxfordshire FA has a strong ambition to increase the diversity of our coaching workforce within grassroots football in the county, and we’re keen to engage with as many people as possible from Oxfordshire’s culturally diverse communities.

If you have any questions, or simply want to discuss the workshops and project in more detail, please contact Michael Thurlow, Football Development Manager, via Support@OxfordshireFA.com

The deadline to register for our January workshop is Friday 19 January 2024. Any participant under the age of 18 (i.e. 16 or 17-years-old) must complete our sign-up form with your parent/guardian/carer’s permission.
