WE ARE TAKING THE OPPORTUNITY ON WORLD CEREBRAL PALSY DAY TO CELEBRATE AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THE FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN WITH CP IN THE COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS TO GET INVOLVED WITH SUMMERTOWN WARRIORS.
Today, Thursday, 6th October, marks World Cerebral Palsy Day.
On this day people around the world to come together to celebrate and support those living with Cerebral Palsy, embrace diversity and to help create a more accessible future for everyone.
As Cerebral Palsy affects more than 17 million people worldwide, there are millions of reasons to make your voice heard on October 6. Join the movement this World Cerebral Palsy day to help create awareness around cerebral palsy.
Summertown Warriors, is an opportunity for children with Cerebral Palsy to participate in football. This has had a huge impact on a number of children from across county. You can read Thomas’s story of his journey with Summertown Stars by clicking here.
Sarah Griffiths, from Summertown Star Warriors, said: “If you fancy giving football a go, come and join our free and friendly sessions! No experience is necessary and the sessions are for any child with Cerebral Palsy (or other physical disabilities) age 4-16.
"Friendship and support on and off the pitch, with a high coach-to-player ratio. We cater for both frame users and ambulant children."

The Summertown CP Football training session for children/adults with Cerebral Palsy are currently held at Five Mile Drive, OX2 8HT, at 1pm every other Sunday.
