2019 Coaches Conference - Final Tutor Confirmed

Oxford United's Chris Allen confirmed as tutor for eagerly-anticipated 2019 Coaches Conference.

Oxfordshire FA is delighted to confirm the final tutor attending the 2019 Coaches Conference, taking place at Whitelands Farm Sports Ground on Sunday 14 July.

Chris Allen made over 150 appearances for Oxford United between 1991 and 1996, enjoying a playing career that took him to Nottingham Forest, Port Vale and Stockport County, before turning his attention to coaching in 2010.

Chris returned to his hometown Oxford United that year, joining the club as a youth coach where he played a key role in the development of players including Max Crocombe, Callum O’Dowda and Sam Long.

In 2015, Chris was appointed first team coach, later becoming the head coach of Oxford United’s Under-23s.

Joining Chris at the 2019 Coaches Conference are:

  • Waheed Ramzan, local grassroots UEFA B-qualified coach
  • Stuart Armstrong, Head of Coaching for Sport England
  • James Watkings, Head of Talent ID for Disability Football

Running between 9.30am and 5.00pm, the Coaches Conference serves as FIVE HOURS of CPD for Level 1, 2 and 3 coaches.

This year’s event will once again see individuals from across the county come together to learn and develop their coaching skills.

Places at this year’s conference are priced at £25 per-person, which includes a conference booklet, USB memory stick, lunch and refreshments.
