Playing Opportunities

Club Football

You can play adult football as soon as you reach your 16th birthday.  Adult clubs play on full size 11 a side pitches with full size goals.  This is played from the Premier League down to local grassroot teams.

There are many men’s teams playing in a number of different leagues across the county on both Saturdays and Sundays. More information and contact details can be found on our League page.

Opportunities for Players 35+

Opportunities for players aged 35 and over are a growing area for football.  Due to work, family commitments and a whole host of other constraints, players often want a format of football that differs from the traditional 11-a-side game. This could be a small sided, a modified pitch, rolling substitutions or walking football.

Take a look at our Veteran’s Football page or Walking Football page.

Small Sided Football

Small sided football is fast growing and popular area of adult football.  The FA recognises the important role that Small Sided Football plays in encouraging people to continue playing football and enjoying all aspects of the ‘beautiful' game.

More information on Small Sided Football can be found here.

Should you be interested in creating additional opportunities for adult players and would like support, please contact Development@OxfordshireFA.com or ring 01993 894405.
