Oxfordshire FA is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sportsguard, who will become our player and match official insurance provider from the 2024/25 season.

In addition, Sportsguard will be supporting the growth and development of Oxfordshire FA’s referees. Through their sponsorship, Sportsguard will enable us to roll-out our innovative refereeing app, already featured on BBC news nationally, across our leagues. 

Sportsguard have also pledged to support the provision of Respect Ambassadors and trained Referee Mentors across Oxfordshire. These roles will enable the promotion of best practice when it comes to good behaviour, keeping our sidelines smokefree, and generally ensuring that football fixtures are safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Operating for over 30 years and specialising in providing insurance products within the sports industry, Sportsguard’s partnership with Oxfordshire FA becomes the latest in a long list of relationships with County FAs and their respective affiliated clubs. With the majority of their business being in football, Sportsguard share Oxfordshire FA’s passion for the game.

Please Note: The new partnership and insurance scheme commences from 1 July 2024, all existing arrangements and policies with previous insurance providers will continue until then and Sportsguard will work with us to help ensure a seamless transition with details of our affiliation window for the 2024/25 season released soon.
