Sports Labs Becomes 3G Pitch Testing Partner

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership with leading sports technology experts, Sports Labs.

Oxfordshire FA is delighted to announce a brand-new partnership with leading sports technology specialists, Sports Labs, who have become our Official 3G Pitch Testing Partner.

Established in 1998, Sports Labs are an independent sports technology test house, for both lab-based testing and field testing across sports, and are accredited to certify sports surfaces or technology to the highest possible standards.

Sports Labs’ artificial turf testing is regulated by governing body specifications, with artificial turf typically regulated more than other sports surfaces. Sports Labs’ experts provide support with the best tools, training, skills, and knowledge for grounds maintenance teams, in addition to being on hand to test, certify, and provide guidance whenever needed.

Through the new partnership with Oxfordshire FA, Sports Labs will provide year-round support and expertise to all of the County FA’s 3G pitch sites, relating to testing, certification, and general playing surface conditions.

In addition, Oxfordshire FA’s affiliated clubs and all artificial sports pitch operators will be able to access Sports Labs’ support, via special partnership rates for surface testing. Grounds staff for Oxfordshire’s 3G pitch operators will also be able to gain insight and knowledge, courtesy of a 3G pitch testing webinar delivered by Sports Labs’ experts.

Michael Gillespie, Field Test Manager at Sports Labs, said: “Sports Labs is thrilled to partner with Oxfordshire FA, who provide playing facilities for all levels of users within the region. With Oxfordshire FA's esteemed reputation and Sports Labs' expertise, we look forward to playing our role in sustaining and enhancing the exceptional quality of fields.”

Andy Earnshaw, Business and Facility Development Manager at Oxfordshire FA, added: “High quality 3G pitches play an integral role in the development of the game in Oxfordshire, and we’re delighted to partner with a leader in the industry for the benefit of our football turf pitch providers – and their users. We are very much looking forward to developing this relationship and delivering an excellent standard of safe and sustainable playing and training facilities across the county.”
