Oxfordshire FA Intermediate Cup
About the Cup
The Oxfordshire FA Intermediate Cup is a knockout club cup competition open to all professional and senior club reserve or development teams of clubs playing in competitions operated by leagues at Regional Feeder League or above. First teams playing within Hellenic Division Two and Oxfordshire Senior League Division One and Two or equivalent are also eligible subject to approval by Oxfordshire FA.
History of the Cup
The Intermediate Cup was first contested in the 1952/53 season where Kidlington took the inaugural title and went on to win another four times with their last title coming in 2019.
Thame United Reserves hold the record for the most titles with seven last winning the competition in 2014.
The current holders, Headington Amateurs, recorded their only previous Intermediate Cup win in the 2007/08 season courtesy of their reserve team who beat Kidlington Reserves 2-1. Amateurs defeated Oxford City Development 4-0 last season to become the latest team to lift the trophy.
