OFA Coaches' Conference

Coaches Conference back for 2022!

Oxfordshire FA are delighted to announce the return of the Coaches Conference to Whitelands Farm on 28th May 2022.

The popular coaching event will see coaches from across the county come together for a day of learning and networking.

We’re thrilled to be able to announce Pete Sturgess as our first deliverer on the day. Pete, who last delivered in the county in 2019, is Foundation Phase Lead for The FA and so focuses on developing the game for players in the younger age groups from 5-11.

Pete’s sessions are always innovative and popular to watch, with coaches taking away lots of new ideas. His sessions will be focusing on the next stage of the Foundation Phase development, with a focus on creating more skilful players.

In addition to Pete, we can announce that the Coach Development Officers for the region will be delivering a workshop on the Benefits of Small-Sided Games. This practical workshop will showcase a variety of small-sided games for coaches to take away and experiment with, and explain their importance in player development.

The details for the Coaches Conference are as follows:

Date: Saturday 28th May 2022
Venue: Whitelands Farm Sports Ground, Whitelands Way, Bicester, OX26 1AJ
Time: 9am to 5pm

Details of a further workshop will be announced in the coming weeks.

Coaches signing up to the Conference will be able to attend all workshops, and also receive a goody bag on arrival. Those signing up before the 8th April will receive a free t-shirt, and the first 30 coaches to sign up will receive an OFA-branded coaches clipboard.

The cost to attend the Coaches Conference is just £25.00 with a 50% discount for OFA Coaches Association members and includes workshops and refreshments throughout the day.
