Determined New Members Required For Women and Girls' Focus Group

Could you help develop and grow the female game in Oxfordshire?

Oxfordshire FA is looking for enthusiastic and determined members of the local grassroots football community to join the County FA’s Women and Girls’ Focus Group, which aims to support the development and growth of the female game across Oxfordshire – and to deliver projects around growth and retention.

Are you:

  • Enthusiastic
  • Determined
  • Passionate about women and girls’ football
  • Keen to make a difference

If so, you could be exactly the right person to join the group.

The Women and Girls’ Focus Group will advise the development team at Oxfordshire FA of ways to deliver women and girls’ projects better and advise how to reach new audiences.

In addition, the group works to set up projects to support the growth and retention of the female game and supports events and projects across Oxfordshire to increase the growth of female football and the number of female coaches.

The Women and Girls’ Focus Group meets approximately every couple of months, with potential tasks carried out between meetings.

James Shiplee, Football Development Officer at Oxfordshire FA, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for keen and passionate individuals to get involved in women and girls’ football in Oxfordshire - and support the work we’re doing to grow and retain the number of individuals in the game.

From players to volunteers, coaches and referees; we want to continue to grow and we hope that having determined volunteers involved will help us do that.”

For more information, or to get involved, please contact James by emailing development@oxfordshirefa.com or call 01993 894403.
