Coaches Academy Returns for 2016/17

To support our coaches in developing their ability, we are delighted to announce that the OFA Coaches Academy is returning this season for its second

The aim of the Coaches Academy is to enhance the opportunities for the development of coaches in Oxfordshire and provide regular support to coaches who want to develop their skills and further their coaching careers by offering 1-1 support with coaching experts.

The Coaches Academy will give coaches the chance to come together five times over the season and have the opportunity to coach their players and receive feedback from the observing group. The process will focus on positive aspects of coaching as well as looking at areas where individual coaches can develop further.

The five sessions will allow all coaches to have a go at delivering, as well as giving and receiving feedback. Sessions will be limited to 10 places to allow for a more personal, welcoming environment for those delivering.

The Coaches Academy will be led by County Coach Developer Mark Haining who said: “This is a great opportunity for coaches to be part of a select group and develop their ability. Having the chance to receive feedback from other coaches will offer them a unique view into their coaching and how they can improve.”
