Whether at a local club, in a social small sided league or a kick around with your friends, there's likely to be an opportunity for you to get involved in female football across Oxfordshire.
There are a number of women’s clubs in Oxfordshire providing football for players aged 16+. The entry level for adult teams is through the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League.
The league also provides an opportunity for teams at the U18 level as well, providing an appropriate pathway from youth football to adult football.
Women’s football is generally played on a Sunday afternoon and many teams have weekly training sessions taking place midweek. The U18 divisions play on a Saturday morning.
Want to play for fun? This flexible version of the Women's game is perfect for those wanting a recreational and social alternative to league football.
Oxfordshire FA run small sided leagues throughout the year, offering you an opportunity to enjoy a more flexible format or football with your friends. The league is open to both teams and individual players and the format is 5-a-side games which kick off at 7:00pm and 8:00pm and are 40 minutes in duration.
To find out more about small sided football, check out the details for the individual leagues below, or get in touch with us directly to chat through what's available for you.
We have an Oxfordshire FA Women and Girls Football booklet which shows a number of opportunities available locally in the female game.
The FA’s Find Football Near You search engine found at the bottom of this page, and our Player Notices page also provide information to help you find a club, team, or coach.
