Oxford City FC and Oxfordshire FA partner to deliver Powerchair Football sessions

An exciting opportunity to grow disability football has opened up in the county.

We're delighted to announce our support of Oxford City FC's initiative to provide Wheelchair Football Association-affiliated Powerchair Football sessions for people with physical disabilities.

ofa ocfc powerchairThe sessions will take place biweekly on Sundays at The Park Sports Centre in Wheatley (OX33 1QZ), with the first one taking place on Sunday 19th March.

An inclusive form of football, Powerchair Football allows anyone to play the beautiful game, regardless of their ability to walk or run thanks to the use of electric wheelchairs; called Powerchairs, which have additional attachments added to the front to enable players to move the ball.

The aim of the game is the same as any other football variant; score more goals than the other team!

More information on how to sign up will be available in due course but for any further information, or if you’d like to register your interest, please email events@oxcityfc.co.uk
