Hosted by Abdoullah Kheir, Coach Development Officer (Diversity & Inclusion) at the FA, and Leicester City FC U18s coach Waheed Ramzan and Michael Thurlow, Oxfordshire FA Football Development Manager, this was a great chance for everyone in attendance to learn more about the opportunities available to them throughout grassroots football in our region.

In addition to the coaching discussion, attendees broke fast with Iftar.

Michael said: “We had a brilliant evening of engagement and discussions at our first Ramadan Coaching Event in Oxford.

“It was a great evening building relationships with communities, and we are already looking forward to future events across the county in 2023.”

This event was part of our commitment and work as a County FA to have a more diverse grassroots coaching workforce in the county. This will be the one of many continued ED&I coaching support events in 2023 and beyond.
