We’d like to thank all the teams who came from across the county to take part. These include: Oxford United Walking Football Club, Rotherfield United, Charlbury Town Walking Football Club, Cherwell Strollers, Bicester Fossils, Oxford Rovers Walking Football Club, Chalgrove Cavaliers and Banbury Matureitans.

The Oxfordshire Walking Football League was set up by Oxfordshire FA in collaboration with the Oxfordshire Over 50s League. All the clubs involved helped us to shape how the league was run.

The first season has been a huge success with all 236 players embracing the competitive side of the game whilst also ensuring the whole league was played in a friendly spirit.

Michael Thurlow, Football Development Manager said “we are really proud of the success the new league has had in its first year. To have a league in the county offering friendly competitive walking football is just fantastic and we look forward to seeing it develop in years to come”

We are in the process of setting up the league again in 2023, so watch this space.
