Becoming a coach females in football

Oxfordshire FA to deliver workshops to develop female coaches

Workshops will take place across the county with the aim of developing and promoting female coaches.

Whether you've never coached before, taking your first steps this season, or have been doing it for years, we want to bring all female coaches together for these workshops.

Located in Easington, Witney, Kidlington and Thame, there will be a chance for every coach to have their say and discuss any issues that are key to them about being a female coach.

Headed up by The FA Coach Development Officer Vicky Fisher, these will be the starting point for a season of fixtures for female coaches. Later in the season there will be CPD and other opportunities to get involved in a friendly environment that encourages sharing and debate.

James Shiplee, Senior Football Development Officer, said: “We can’t wait to bring coaches together from across all corners of Oxfordshire. It’s important to us as well that these are an opportunity for those women who have thought about coaching but not yet taken their first step. The journey starts here!”

The workshops will take place on the following dates:
Easington Sports FC: Wednesday 9th November, 18:30-20:30
Thame United FC: Monday 28th November, 18:30-20:30
Witney ATP: Monday 5th December, 18:30-20:30
Kidlington FC: Tuesday 31st January, 18:30-20:30
