We are delighted to be offering the opportunity for Walking Football Teams across Oxfordshire to compete in this year’s Oxfordshire FA Walking Football Cup.
The one-day competition, sponsored by Age UK Oxfordshire and supported by Better Leisure, will take place at The Oxford Academy in Littlemore on Sunday 26 April2020.
This competition has followed the success of OFA Walking Football Cup 2019 and increased turn out at the Oxfordshire Walking Football Festivals throughout last season that were delivered in partnership with Better Leisure.
We would like to welcome all walking football teams in Oxfordshire or any groups that would like to create a team to enter.
Michael Thurlow, Football Development Manager said: “We are delighted to provide the opportunity to teams in Oxfordshire to compete for the OFA Walking Football Cup following the success in 2019. Walking Football has seen a huge growth in Oxfordshire and this competition will continue to provide further opportunities for individuals to participate more competitively.”
Walking Football, as the name suggests, is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game which is aimed specifically at the over 50’s.
