Have your say on Women and Girls' Football in Oxfordshire!

The FA recently announced a new strategy for Women and Girls Football with the aim of doubling participation by 2020.

This is an exciting time for female football in Oxfordshire and we want to get your views and opinions on how this looks so that we can further develop this growing area of the game as much as possible.

Through the strategy we will be looking for ideas and suggestions on six key areas:

Growth – Double the number of teams playing football
Retention – Support teams to transition through formats, and compete in both traditional and recreational environments
Talent – Support talented players to progress up the player pathway
Workforce – Double the number of female referees and coaches
Communication – Increase the presence of female football in the county and on the OFA website
Partnership and Investment – Increasing the relationships we have with local partners

There has never been a more exciting time for Women and Girls’ football and we have three opportunities for you to have your say and influence our plans going forward:

1.     Oxfordshire FA Consultation Surveys for players and volunteers:

 Adult Players & Volunteers

        Youth Players (5-18yrs)

2.     Oxfordshire FA Drop In Sessions at 18:30-20:30 on the 20th June. To book your place please contact James Shiplee on 01993 894403 or
James.Shiplee@OxfordshireFA.com.

3.     Oxfordshire FA/Berks and Bucks Consultation Session at Berks and Bucks FA on the 29th June 18:30-21:30

We’re looking to hear the thoughts and ideas of as many people in our community as possible so that we can tailor the way we work to meet your needs. Your contributions will actively help to shape the future of Women and Girls’ football in our County up to and beyond 2020.

If you have any questions please contact James Shiplee on 01993 894403 or James.Shiplee@OxfordshireFA.com.
