Oxford Flexi League Football

Do you love football but don’t have as much time on the weekend as you used to have?

Then we may have the solution for you, the Oxfordshire FA have teamed up with The Oxford Academy to run our first ever Flexi League Football which will start on Wednesday 4th October and thanks to the Oxford Academy we will be able to play all the fixtures on their new 3G pitch.

We understand how things can change over time within playing football and also how other commitments can get in the way on weekend. This is why we’ve teamed up with the Oxford Academy to offer this opportunity to all adult males around the county. This newly established football league is likely to be the answer for all local adult male footballers who can’t commit to playing 90 minutes every weekend.

The Flexi League will take place on a weekly basis but don’t worry whichever day you play on, you’ll still only have to play once a week. Matches will suit those who need a more flexible format of football with a 9v9 match, played over 50 minutes with rolling subs, allowing everyone the chance to play the beautiful game.

Football Development Manager Michael Thurlow and Community Operations Manager Matthew Brandish were both delighted at the opportunity for the Oxfordshire FA and The Oxford Academy to work together on this exciting new project.

Michael Thurlow, Football Development Manager, said:

“We’re delighted to be working with the Oxford Academy on the Flexi League. We’re excited to see the impact it can have on adult male players and increasing the opportunities available to them to play football”.

Teams can register by completing the attached registration form and returning to Matthew via email or post. Alternatively, they can register online using the following link: http://surveys.thefa.com/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=ml0Mll4M
