FA Treatment & Management of Injury Level 2 Course

The Oxford Football Partnership have organised a Treatment & Management of Injury - Level 2 Course, taking place next month. 

This course is a qualification aimed at people acting as Manager, Coach, trainer or Therapist in amateur and youth football clubs and for teachers with responsibility for school teams.

The FA’s Medical Division strongly recommends that every team should have a person in attendance on match days who has received training to at least this Level 2 Certificate.

By the end of the Course you will be able to:

- Use basic anatomical terminology
- Describe the general structure and function of the relevant body tissues
- Identify surface anatomy points on the lower limb
- Describe the general anatomy of the knee and ankle joints
- Describe the effects, reaction and repair following acute injury
- Describe the signs and symptoms of common injuries and methods used in testing
- Describe the classification, types and levels of injuries
- Describe the causes, mechanics, signs and symptoms of common injuries to groin, knee and ankle regions
- Explain the importance of advice and actions to prevent or reduce injury
- Demonstrate practical techniques to prevent injuries via exercises to prepare players for play
- Describe basic injury management advice that would be offered to injured players
- Demonstrate basic treatment skills to include the application of compression
and support bandages

Course dates: Sundays 7th,14th, 21st Feb 9.00-5.00

To be certificated for this Course all candidates must hold a current Emergency Aid Certificate, or equivalent, offered by an approved body
such as The Health & Safety Executive, St John Ambulance, British Red Cross, The Football Association, Medic First Aid etc, and attend an FA
Child Protection Workshop.

Cost - £140
