Free Ladies Beginners Course's

The Oxfordshire FA are launching two courses for ladies to learn the basic skills of football. They are free 10 week course's  that are taking place in Wallingford and Oxford commencing on 17th April 2008.

This course will address the social needs of individuals and assist in confidence and knowledge of the game. This is a great opportunity to get women together of all ages' abilities and backgrounds. The course will initially be free, but to secure places there will be a request of a £10 refundable deposit (returned after the 10 weeks). The option to complete a FA level 1 coaching qualification will be offered after the course with the intention of being part subsidized.
Aim of project:

* To coach basic skills and provide friendly matches with other beginner groups in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and MK.
* Provide exit routes into club football
* Opportunity for players to complete FA level 1 (female only) if 10 weeks are completed
* The project hopes to increase participation in sport and active recreation, widen access targeting priority groups, improve levels of performance, and contribute to improving health and wellbeing
* Individuals to be 16+

The course is ideal for mums who would like to be involved with their children’s club gaining more knowledge of the game, ladies who would like to be involved with football without the competitive league structure and those that would like to participate in physical activity and try something different.
