FA Centre of Excellence

The Girls’ Talent Development re-structure sees The FA operating 62 Talent Development Centres as opposed to the 50 FA Girls’ Centres of Excellence that have existed previously.

The new structure will encompass Centres which will be a combination of Player Development Centres and FA Girls’ Centres of Excellence, resulting in a restructure of the current Centres programme. Three brand new Elite Performance Camps will also replace the Regional Talent Camps.

Oxford United Girls Centre of Excellence will provide talented players with a comprehensive coaching programme and will take part in the South West Regional fixture programme.

Oxford United's centre will accommodate squads from U9 (development), U11, U13, U15 and U17, training three times a week.  The Centre's of Excellence form an essential part of The Football Associations female player development pathway and is the pinnacle from which our youth international players are selected.

Centres in the South West Region are:
Hampshire
Bristol Academy
Somerset
Devon
