Oxfordshire FA Coaches Association

The new Oxfordshire FA Coaches Association aims to offer the chance to improve your skills and attributes as coaches in the county by providing a comprehensive programme of workshops throughout the season. These workshops may vary, from Coaching Clinics, learning new coaching practices, to Pitchside 1st Aid Courses teaching how to immediately deal with player injury.

Who is it for?
All qualified coaches can become a member of the Oxfordshire
County FA Coaches’ Association regardless of your coaching experience or qualifications. Members range from coaches with the Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football and very little experience to UEFA ‘A’ License coaches. There is something for everyone!

What are the benefits?
By signing up as a member, you will receive the following benefits:

1. 1 x ticket to the annual Oxfordshire FA Coaches Conference – featuring coaching delivery and Q&A with special guests.

2. 1 x Premiership Youth Academy Coaching Clinic – Learn how a Premiership Academy develops their players and provides the best environment for them to fulfill potential. Theory & practical sessions will reinforce the ethos of a Premiership club.

3. 4 x Coaching Clinics – Focusing on particular themes, your chance to observe high quality coaching sessions to learn new practices, coaching styles and methods. Themes include “Shooting from outside the area”, “Defending to Win” and “Maximising limited time with players”.

4. 4 x Coaches Workshops (for Coaches Association Members only) – These workshops provide the opportunity to improve your all round knowledge as a coach. Workshops such as Pitchside 1st Aid and “How to coach Goalkeepers” will help enhance your abilities in specific areas.

5. Discounted Prices on selected Oxfordshire FA Coach Education Courses – including the FA Youth Module 1, and FA Coaching Disabled Footballers Course.  (Spaces are limited)

6. 1 x Oxfordshire FA Coaches Association Umbro Training Jersey (First 20 registered candidates will also receive Tactics Clipboard and LTPD “Four Corner” Board.

7. Quarterly Oxfordshire Coaches Association E-zine – providing ideas for coaching sessions, updates for FA National Events, and coaching bursaries.

9. Coaches Association members also will receive immediate updates of additional benefits for coaches. 

10.For members of the FA Licensed Coaches Club, attending OFACA workshops will also count towards your CPD record with The Football Association.

What is the cost?
For its first year the annual membership is £20 per calendar year for individuals. This figure will be reviewed annually 

How can you become a member?
To become a member of the Oxfordshire County FA Coaches’ Association simply download & complete the application form (in related documents) and return it to us with the Membership Fee of £20.  These will need to be sent to Oxfordshire FA Coaches Association at Owain.Prosser@OxfordshireFA.com or at Unit 3 Witan Park Avenue 2 Station Lane Witney Oxon OX28 4FH You will receive confirmation and details of how to book onto the workshops and other member benefits.

We are delighted to announce that all of Oxfordshire FA Coaches Association (OFACA) events have now been fully accredited by The Football Association. This will now mean that the high quality OFACA training opportunities that are available in the local area will now count as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for FA Licensed Coaches Club members.

The FA Licensed Coaches Club was launched in August 2011. Through commitment to continued professional development, up to date learning and adherence to good practice, FA Licensed Football Coaches will stand for reliance, trust and credibility within the game.
