
To act on behalf of your youth club or league to be able to provide a safe environment for children and young people participating in football.
Pre-requisite – attendees must have completed a FA Safeguarding Children Workshop (formerly known as Child Protection and Best Practice) and have submitted an Enhanced CRB disclosure application through The FA CRB process In addition the following skills, knowledge and experience
- Willing and able to provide relevant references
- Willingness to update skills and knowledge
- Previous experience of working with children
- Knowledge of and positive attitudes and behaviours regarding equal opportunities
- Commitment to treat all children as individuals and with equal concern
- Appropriate physical health to carry out tasks
- Balanced approach, with integrity and flexibility
- Understanding and appreciation of the need for confidentiality when dealing with issues.
- Acceptance of knowing their limits when dealing with issues
- Reasonable level of administration experience and how to deal with confidential documentation
- Commitment to participate in-service training facilitated by The FA or your local CFA
