The course is aimed at those working with young players, who want to improve their knowledge and understanding of the ‘what’ and ‘how’ to coach players of all ages. Candidates must be 16 years of age or over.
This course will give candidates the most up to date coaching tools in working with arguably the most important age group within football.
Aim
To provide candidates who have an ongoing involvement in coaching young football players with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and confidence in coaching children.
This 6 hour introductory module offers an opportunity for football coaches to be supported in developing their knowledge of how to operate as a football coach within the expectations of the game, their club, the players involved and others affected by the coaching process.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the FALAAC, you should be able to:
• Define movement skills incorporating Agility, Balance & Co-ordination and their relevance to the game
• Explain & demonstrate how technique can be used to help players perform a skill
• Demonstrate how to use Level 1 games to grow players understanding of football and how we as coaches can manage difference in our groups
• Show how to modify Level 1 games to have an effect upon an individuals technical needs
• Explain how we all learn differently and begin to include this knowledge within a coaching session
• Gain an understanding of The FA Tesco Skills Programme
• Signpost where you can go next on your coaching pathway
