The Route To Charter Standard

This will show you the route to achieveing Charter Standard Status for your Club.

Stage 1
Download Charter Standard Club Introductory pack and application form (see Charter Standard Club Applications) and familiarise yourself with what criteria your club needs to meet for it to achieve the award.

Stage 2
Contact the County Football Development Officer on 01993 894402 or email Owain.Prosser@OxfordshireFA.com where you will be assisted through the early stages and explain the criteria in more detail.  Following the initial phone call or meeting you will have a better idea of the pathway of action to follow and a better understanding of the process and what is involved.

Stage 3
Once information is passed onto your club and the club is in agreement to proceed, then you are on you way. This is when we can assist you even further to achieve that end goal. There will of course be questions and areas for clarification. We will support you all the way on the phone, by club visits or if you prefer, you can come into the office for more direct support from the team.  You will also find some useful templates for criteria in the "related documents" section on this page (see right).

Stage 4
Once we have received your completed application, we carefully checked all the criteria has been met, and will advise of any evidence missing or criteria not quite met. Stage 5 is achieved when we have a fully competed application.

Stage 5
The application is then taken to Oxfordshire FA's Charter Standard working party meeting for final comments. Final adjustments or amendments may be required at this stage. A member of the Oxfordshire FA Development Team will contact the club after the meeting with news of their application.

Stage 6
If all criteria are met your application is sent to the National FA for final approval.

Stage 7
Your club is now an FA Charter Standard Club. The club will be contacted directly by the National FA with your award and Oxfordshire FA will arrange to present you with your well earned award. Well done!
